About the Organizer

Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Law and Legal Studies (CLLS), a constituent college of Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, is dedicated to professional legal education, research, and practical training.

The college was established in 2010. Teerthanker Mahaveer University was established under Uttar Pradesh Government Act No. 30 of 2008 and received approval from the University Grants Commission in 2008.

CLLS offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral legal education, including B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., B.Com. LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. in Law programs. The college has also established the Centre for Postgraduate Legal Studies for advanced legal education and research.

About the Competition

The 1st Teerthanker Mahaveer National Moot Court Competition, 2026, is being organized by Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Law and Legal Studies, Teerthanker Mahaveer University.

Conducted under the theme “In Pursuit of Advocacy, Argument & Justice,” the competition will provide students with an opportunity to develop their advocacy, legal research, and drafting skills through simulated litigation on contemporary legal issues.

Competition Structure

The competition will be conducted virtually and entirely through a paperless format. The process, including registration, memorial submission, judging, and issuance of certificates, will take place online.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate law students are eligible to participate.
  • Participants must be enrolled in law schools affiliated by the Bar Council of India.
  • Eligible law schools from across India may participate.

Team Composition

Each team shall consist of three members: two speakers and one researcher.

Prizes

  • Cash prizes worth Rs. 30,500.
  • E-certificates will be provided.

Registration Details

The registration fee is Rs. 2,500 per team. The brochure, moot proposition, and detailed rules will be released soon.
