Wolf Theiss launches in London

The firm has set up shop in England in a bid to bolster its ties between London and burgeoning Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe markets.

European law firm Wolf Theiss announced today (5 October) that it has opened a new office in London as it works to move closer to the capital, investors and advisers at the heart of new investment opportunities across the Central, Eastern and Southeastern European (CEE/SEE) region.

The new venture will be spearheaded by Polish corporate and mergers and acquisitions head Anna Dąbrowska, who joined the firm in 2023 following 18 years at Wardynski & Partners. With a practice focused on domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, divestments and reorganisations, Dąbrowska will help to strengthen the firm’s relationships with international financial institutions, private credit funds, private equity sponsors, infrastructure investors and corporates.

“Having a direct presence [in London] means we can be closer to those relationships and to the conversations where investment decisions are made,” Dąbrowska explained. “My role is to bring our region’s opportunities, businesses and expertise closer to London and to give London’s clients, investors and advisers a direct route into the market themselves”.

Wolf Theiss has been advising London-based clients for more than a decade and can now offer a direct point of contact for clients and international law firms seeking coordinated support across the CEE/SEE region. The London office will provide transactions, disputes and compliance services across the energy and infrastructure, defence and security, financial services and digital infrastructure sectors.

Andrea Gritsch, Wolf Theiss managing partner, commented: “Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe comprises mature and resilient economies with a growing voice in Europe’s future. The region is attracting investment across energy, infrastructure, defence, technology, nearshoring and industrial transformation. Our role is to help clients see the opportunity, understand the differences between markets and execute across borders with confidence.”

The move sees Wolf Theiss continue to expand its international footprint beyond its core regional markets and follows its 2024 Brussels office launch, which sought to connect its CEE/SEE-based clients with the core of EU operations.
