Simpson Thacher has hired corporate partner Murray Cox from Weil Gotshal & Manges in London.
A Legal 500 leading partner for upper-midmarket M&A, Cox joined Weil in 2021 after 13 years at Slaughter and May, including five as a partner. He arrived with a splash, joining the team that advised Advent International on its $8bn offer for Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB that September.
