Gunnercooke is under investigation by the SRA for its work for companies connected to the now-collapsed lender Market Financial Solutions (MFS), which is at the centre of an alleged £1.3bn financial scandal.
The investigation stems from a complaint by an individual, Dr Elizabeth Donald, who had defaulted on a loan from Bath & West Finance 2 Ltd (B&WF), a client of Gunnercooke’s.
