About the Organisation

Kerala Law Academy Law College (KLA), established in 1966, is a premier centre for legal studies, research, and law reforms. Affiliated with the University of Kerala, it offers various undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. It publishes a reputed peer-reviewed Research Journal since 1977.

About the International Seminar

The 32nd INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR titled “The Right to Be Forgotten in the Digital Age: Rethinking the balance between the right to be forgotten and the right to remember in a connected world” aims to provide a multidisciplinary platform.

It is for academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, technology experts, research scholars, and students.

The seminar will deliberate on emerging legal and regulatory challenges related to privacy, personal data, digital memory, and relevant frameworks including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Publication Opportunity

Selected research articles will be published in the Seminar Book with an ISBN.

Guidelines for Paper Submission

  • Papers must align with the seminar theme.
  • Format: Times New Roman; heading 14pt; text 12pt; A4 paper; single line spacing; justified alignment.
  • Maximum 2500 words including title, author details, and footnotes.
  • Citation style: The Bluebook (20th Ed.) encouraged.
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10 pt, inserted using Word footnote option; speaking footnotes discouraged.
  • Abstract: Max 250 words, including synopsis, subtitles, references, and brief conclusion.
  • Abstract submission email: internationalseminar32@gmail.com by September 10.
  • Abstract must include cover page with paper title, chosen sub-theme, author(s) name(s), institution, designation, email, postal address, and contact number.
  • Submission in Word format only; references included as footnotes.
  • Precedents italicized but not bolded; subheadings bold and left-aligned.
  • Only one paper per participant; co-authorship allowed up to two authors.
  • Original, unpublished work only; plagiarism leads to disqualification.
  • Publishing charges, if any, are borne by authors.
  • Soft copy of publication available on payment of ₹200; hard copy on additional ₹600.

  • Paper Presentation: ₹1000
  • Author Registration: ₹1000
  • Co-Authorship Registration: ₹1200
  • Seminar Participation only: ₹250
