Startup Corner: Paravo – An AI client engagement engine for law firms

UK-founded startup Paravo has emerged from stealth with £450,000 in funding and customers on both sides of the Atlantic. Positioning itself as the first AI-powered revenue engine for law firms, the company takes care of client engagement, combining receptionist, follow-up and client re-engagement capabilities into a platform designed to reduce missed opportunities and accelerate matter conversion.

How would you describe your company to a friend?

Lawyers spend up to 70% of their day on work they cannot bill for. Answering the phone, chasing follow-ups, booking consultations, calling people back. That is the work that wins and keeps clients, and it is the work lawyers have no time to do.

Paravo does it for them. It answers the phone, qualifies leads, and books the consultation, so no new client slips. It chases the follow-up and wins back old clients. And it predicts the next need before the client feels it, so it knows a visa is about to expire, or a will needs updating, and reaches out when it’s time.

Lawyers do the law. Paravo runs the client engagement.

And to a techy?

Paravo is the first revenue engine for law firms. An AI-native platform that generates clients, converts them to revenue, and reactivates old relationships.

The point is that it runs the whole funnel on shared infrastructure, not three tools bolted together. Because it is one system, the data compounds. The lead source shapes the intake script. An AI receptionist answers the call and learns the caller: case type, urgency, jurisdiction. That knowledge shapes the speed-to-lead follow-up in week one, sent as customised SMS and email, and it shapes how we reach back out months later.

The compounding is also what makes it predictive. The platform learns the shape of a matter, so it knows a spouse visa expires in 26 months and triggers outreach before the client thinks to call.

Each step makes the next one smarter. That compounding loop is the engine.

When were you founded?

2026

By who?

Cesar Tapia and Eslam Odeh.

Who are your key managers/senior execs?

Cesar Tapia — co-founder and CEO.

Eslam Odeh — co-founder and CTO.

Who are your target clients?

Law firms that bill on a flat or fixed fee across the UK and US. Immigration, family, personal injury and employment are some of the verticals.

The billing model is the whole point. A firm that bills by the hour has no reason to rush. The longer a matter takes, the more hours it books, so speed works against it. A flat-fee firm is the opposite. It gets paid the same whether the case takes a week or a year, so its only way to make money is to close fast and move to the next one. If a case is worth $10,000, they want it signed today, not next month. Every day a matter sits unclosed is revenue they may never book. That is what makes intake speed a commercial decision, not an IT one, and it is why these firms buy our product.

At firms under roughly 40 people, the buyer is the managing partner or owner. Above that, it is the marketing person or intake manager.

What is your plan (growth strategy)?

Land on the sharpest wedge, then expand. We lead with the AI receptionist because our competitor is a voicemail. Beating a voicemail is easy to prove, and the value shows up in the first week. Once the receptionist earns trust, the other two modules switch on against the same data, with no new integration.

Key achievements?

Came out of stealth in August 2026 already carrying paying customers on both sides of the Atlantic, with more than 60% of revenue from the US.

GSM Legals cut missed enquiries by 62% and tripled consultations in 90 days, with no additional marketing spend, no new hires.

Have you received investment?

Yes, we’ve raised £450,000

Have there been any key changes in direction since you were founded?

Yes. We started with an AI receptionist, on the belief that answering the phone was the whole problem. The data proved it was only the first step. Firms that answered every call still lost clients later: leads that were never followed up, consultations that never got booked, past clients who quietly went elsewhere when their next need arrived. Fixing intake alone just moved the leak downstream. So we rebuilt the entire engine on one system, from generating the client to converting them to reactivating them later. Covering the whole funnel is not a feature choice. It is the only way the data compounds and the leaks close.

What are the key challenges in your market?

Trust. The phone is the firm’s front door. One bad AI call in front of a partner ends the trial, regardless of what the dashboard says.

Tell us something people don’t already know about the company?

Paravo started on the other side of the desk. Both founders were immigrants first, cycling through visa applications and sitting in the waiting rooms of immigration lawyers who were brilliant at the law but hopeless at responding to enquiries. They built the fix for the first firm that, and turned their own frustration into the product spec.
