The Campaign Office of Shri Satyendra Rai is preparing for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh MLA elections from Constituency No. 344 Gopalpur, Azamgarh. He had contested the 2022 elections from this constituency, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The campaign’s current focus is on building a robust, evidence-based policy platform centered on youth employment, economic development, modernization, agro-reforms, police reforms, and targeted socio-economic initiatives specifically tailored to Azamgarh and the Gopalpur constituency that would allow for the people of Gopalpur to entrust Shri Satyendra Rai with victory.

About the Opportunity

We offer a two-month remote internship focusing on political strategy, public policy design, and campaign messaging. Interns will engage in deliverables that directly shape the core political platform and communication strategies for the candidate, acting as the ideological and research foundation of the campaign.

Crucially, this opportunity provides interns with an authentic, behind-the-scenes understanding of how a modern electoral campaign practically operates on the ground in India, bridging the gap between theoretical policy and actionable political strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research into the local socio-economic and governance landscape of Azamgarh to architect actionable policy papers and manifestos.
2. Brief Shri Satyendra Rai periodically on current government initiatives that people in Gopalpur constituency could benifit from.
3. Formulate specific reform frameworks addressing youth employment, economic revitalization, agro-sector modernization, and police reforms.
4. Analyze historical voting patterns and constituency demographics strictly within Constituency No. 344 Gopalpur to derive actionable insights for targeted messaging.
5. Draft high-impact speech drafts, candidate talking points, press statements, and structured position briefs aligned with the campaign agenda.
6. Process qualitative field inputs remotely to refine core platform pillars.

Eligibility

• Current undergraduate students, recent graduates, or postgraduate students in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Law, Mass Communication, or allied disciplines.
• Individuals with strong analytical thinking, research capabilities, and bilingual professional fluency in Hindi and English.
• Prior exposure to grassroots campaigning, data-driven political consulting, or policy drafting is highly preferred.
• Bonus: Functional proficiency in social media strategy and digital content or video editing tools.

Duration

September 15, 2026 to November 15, 2026 (2 months). The engagement may be extended through the 2027 election results based on performance.
