About the Opportunity
Chaubey & Company, a Kolkata-based law firm, is inviting applications from motivated and committed law students for legal internship opportunities at our Kolkata office for the period October–December 2026.
The internship is intended to provide students with practical exposure to litigation, dispute resolution and legal drafting, while enabling them to develop a deeper understanding of the day-to-day functioning of a professional legal practice.
Areas of Exposure
Selected interns may get an opportunity to work on:
- Court proceedings, procedures and filing processes
- Legal research and case-law analysis
- Drafting of legal notices, pleadings, applications and other legal documents
- Litigation and dispute-resolution matters
- Case preparation and matter discussions
- Client interactions, subject to confidentiality and professional discretion
Eligibility
The internship is particularly open to:
- Students pursuing their 3rd, 4th or 5th year of a 5-year LL.B. programme
- Candidates with prior internship experience in litigation or law firms
- Students with strong legal research, drafting and communication skills
- Candidates with a genuine interest in litigation and dispute resolution
- Sincere, responsible and proactive individuals willing to learn
