About the Journal

The International Journal of Legal Science and Innovation (IJLSI) is a double-blind peer- reviewed, refereed, open access law journal published by VidhiAagaz, in publication since 2019 and carrying ISSN (O): 2581-9453. The journal has an Impact Factor of 6.285 and is indexed in Manupatra, Google Scholar and ROAD.

Every paper published in Volume 8 is assigned an Original Crossref DOI at no additional cost, giving each contribution a permanent, globally resolvable identifier recognised by citation databases and reference managers worldwide. All papers are freely accessible, with no paywall for readers.

Crossref DOI

Every paper published in Volume 8 is assigned a Crossref DOI. Crossref is the registration agency that scholarly publishing runs on: it deposits each paper’s metadata into the index that feeds Google Scholar, ORCID, Scopus and reference managers, so the DOI functions as a permanent citable record rather than merely a link. IJLSI has migrated to Crossref, and previously published papers are being migrated to Crossref DOIs as well.

Theme

There is no thematic restriction. The journal accepts submissions across the whole field of law, including constitutional law, criminal law, corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, international law, human rights, technology and data protection, environmental law, family law and dispute resolution. Interdisciplinary, comparative and empirical work connecting law with policy, economics or the social sciences is equally welcome.

How to Submit?

• Submissions are made online through the journal portal attached at the end of the post
• Authors receive a Manuscript ID immediately on submission
• The paper can be followed through screening, peer review, acceptance and publication on the journal’s manuscript tracking page

Manuscript Processing Charges

Charges are payable only after acceptance. There is no submission fee.

• 1 to 2 authors: INR 1,000 (Indian) / USD 25 (International)
• 3 authors: INR 1,250 (Indian) / USD 40 (International)
• 4 authors: INR 1,500 (Indian) / USD 50 (International)

Submission Guidelines

• Research Paper: 3,000 words to 7000 words
• Article: 1,500 to 3,000 words
• Case Comment: 1,000 to 2,000 words
• Short Note: 1,000 to 2,000 words
• Book Review: 1,500 to 2,000 words
• Word limits are exclusive of footnotes
• Co-authorship permitted up to a maximum of 4 authors
• Body text in Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing; footnotes in Times New Roman, 10 pt, 1.0 line spacing
• Citation must be in Bluebook 21 st Edition Format.
• Submissions must be original and unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere
• All submissions are screened for plagiarism through Drillbit or iThenticate
• Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format
• Include Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Body, Conclusion and References

• Publication in a peer-reviewed, refereed, ISSN-registered indexed journal
• A CROSSREF DOI for every paper at no additional charge
• An e-Certificate of Publication for each author
• A permanent, freely accessible link to the paper
• Optional printed certificate and journal booklet, available to order separately
