Of course she wants a jury trial. And it probably has nothing to do with a certain recent case in Massachusetts.

Jill Stein rejects plea deal, requests jury trial in case stemming from campus pro-Palestine protest
Former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein is demanding a jury trial on misdemeanor assault and trespassing charges stemming from a 2024 pro-Palestinian protest at Washington University in St. Louis.
Stein requested the jury trial during a Sept. 14 court appearance, rejecting prosecutors’ offer to drop the charges if she completed 10 hours of community service without admitting guilt. The initial trial date is Oct. 29.
Stein allegedly struck a bicycle officer with his own bike and kicked another officer in the groin during the April 2024 demonstration. Stein has maintained that she did not kick the officer.
Police from multiple agencies arrested 100 people during the protest. Stein and one other person ultimately faced charges, though prosecutors have since dropped the charges against the other individual, St. Louis Magazine reports.
“I am very grateful to be able to present evidence on that score,” Stein said after her Sept. 14 court appearance while denying that she kicked an officer.
The case previously drew attention when neither Stein nor her attorney, Joseph Welch, appeared at an August hearing. A judge briefly issued a warrant for Stein before rescinding it after Welch appeared in court and apologized.
