About Lawctopus
Lawctopus is a 16-year-old online media and ed-tech company focused on the legal industry. Every month, 4 lakh law students and young lawyers read Lawctopus for their career growth. Every year, nearly 2,500 learners take our practical courses.
We have been featured in India Today, Economic Times, and TEDx, and have won the BW Legal 40 under 40 and 30 under 30 awards. Lawctopus Law School was also shortlisted for the prestigious Agami Prize and has recently been selected for the 10-month-long Stanford Seed Program, which supports the growth of organisations from South Asia with revenues between USD 300,000 and 15 million.
We are a 25-people-strong, 100% remote organisation that values care, learning, action, and accountability. Our work is organized, disciplined, and performance-oriented. We are currently scaling, and our revenues have increased 2x compared to the last financial year.
About the Role
Lawctopus is looking for a Placement Head to lead and scale its legal placement initiatives for Lawctopus Law School learners.
The role is high-ownership and execution-focused, requiring someone who can move quickly, build relationships, generate opportunities, and deliver measurable placement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the organization’s placement strategy and initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with law firms, lawyers, law colleges, placement cells, and legal recruitment firms.
- Leverage existing professional networks to generate quality placement opportunities.
- Develop new institutional and industry partnerships to expand the placement network.
- Manage the placement process from opportunity generation to successful placement.
- Coordinate with candidates and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of placements.
- Track placement performance and continuously improve processes to achieve targets.
- Work towards achieving 10 Tier-1 placements every month.
Eligibility
- 5–10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong legal background with meaningful exposure to the legal industry.
- Well-connected with law firms, lawyers, law colleges, placement cells, and/or legal recruitment firms.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- High confidence and strong relationship-building abilities.
- Strong ownership and ability to execute quickly and deliver results.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Salary
Rs. 75,000 – 1,20,000 per month, based on experience and suitability.
Experience
Experience Required: At least 5 years of relevant experience in placement management.
