Flight 93 Hero’s Father Challenges El-Sayed Over Piker in New Mike Rogers Ad

Republican Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers released a powerful ad against Democrat Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, featuring David Beamer, father of Flight 93 hero Todd Beamer.

Beamer doesn’t say much, but he says enough.

El-Sayed has attempted to distance himself from Hasan Piker, who quickly said that the Senate candidate asked him to campaign with him in Michigan.

The ad also refuses to allow people to forget El-Sayed and Piker had, or likely still have, a chummy relationship, with a clip of the two men doing the man handshake. One of them calls the other “brother.”

Then we hear Hasan Piker spewing his hatred towards America. The U.S. deserved 9/11. America is worse than al-Qaeda.

It switches to El-Sayed saying, “I’m not here to disavow people’s views” when asked to disavow or condemn Piker’s comments.

The clip fades into powerful clips from 9/11, including the second plane hitting the second tower and people running from the crumbling towers.

“Some of you have heard about my son,” Beamer narrates over the videos. “His name was Todd Beamer. He had little boys, age three and a half and one and a half. He had a wife, Lisa. She was five months pregnant.”

A clip of the phone operator who overheard the passengers on Flight 93 comes on screen.

She says, “They took a vote and decided we need to fight back. Then they responded to him, and he said, ‘Okay, let’s roll.’”

“Those 43 free people on Flight 93 were not victims; they were killed in action,” continues Beamer. ‘When I hear anyone suggest America deserved 9/11, my question is, ‘Who would say that?’”

Well, Beamer answers his own question by replaying the videos of Piker trashing America and El-Sayed not disavowing or condemning Piker.
