About DSNLU
Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) is a premier educational institution established by the State of Andhra Pradesh on September 24, 2008. The University is situated at “NYAYAPRASTHA”, Sabbavaram, Visakhapatnam.
Established under the Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University Act, 2008 (Andhra Pradesh Act No. 32 of 2008), DSNLU promotes legal education, academic achievement and excellence in legal research. The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D. and LL.D. programmes.
About the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights and Technology
The Centre for Intellectual Property Rights and Technology (CIPR&T) at DSNLU undertakes academic and research activities in the fields of Intellectual Property Rights and Technology Law.
The Centre has organised programmes, workshops, seminars, empirical research activities and competitions concerning various areas of IPR and technology law.
DSNLU was sanctioned the IPR Chair by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in December 2023 for advanced research and widespread awareness of IPR.
About the Journal
The DSNLU Journal of Science, Technology & Law is published by CIPR&T and bears E-ISSN No. 2583-1208. The peer-reviewed journal is inviting submissions for Volume 4, Issue 2.
The issue seeks to continue the Journal’s engagement with contemporary developments in Intellectual Property and Technology Law and welcomes original scholarly contributions addressing emerging legal, technological and regulatory questions.

Eligibility
- Academicians, professionals, research scholars and students may submit their work.
- Students must be pursuing an undergraduate, postgraduate or Ph.D. programme from a recognised university.
- The maximum number of authors permitted is two, comprising one author and one co-author.
- Co-authorship is not permitted for Legislative Comments.
Submission Categories
- Long Articles: 5,000–8,000 words. These should provide comprehensive and rigorous analysis of contemporary problems or ideas relating to Intellectual Property Rights, identify lacunae in the existing status quo, and offer alternatives, suggestions and references to a range of sources.
- Short Articles: 3,000–5,000 words. These should analyse contemporary problems or ideas relating to Intellectual Property Rights, identify lacunae, and provide solutions, alternative suggestions and references to a range of sources.
- Legislative Comments: 2,000–3,000 words. These should analyse a recent legislative instrument, including its objective and expected legal impact.
- Case Comments: 2,000–3,000 words. These should analyse a recent judicial precedent, including its facts, issues, ratio decidendi, obiter dicta, legal impact and/or critique.
Submission Guidelines
- Manuscripts must be original and unpublished.
- The manuscript must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and five keywords. The abstract and keywords must appear on the first page of the submission.
- The manuscript must not contain the name or affiliation of the author or authors.
- A separate cover letter must accompany the manuscript and include the name, affiliation or academic qualification, contact number, email address and postal address of the author and co-author, if any.
- The title of the manuscript must follow the format: “[Your Name & Category of Submission]”. The example provided is “CIPR & Long Article”.
- Similarity must not exceed 10%.
- Manuscripts containing AI-generated content will not be considered for review and will be disqualified.
Formatting Guidelines
- The body of the manuscript must be in Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
- The article title must be in Times New Roman, size 16 and in capital letters.
- Main side headings must be in Times New Roman, size 14, and subheadings must be in Times New Roman, size 12.
- Main headings must use Roman numerals and subheadings must use general numbering.
- Citations must be provided as footnotes.
- Citations must conform to the Harvard Bluebook style of citation, 21st edition.
- Footnotes and references must be in Times New Roman, size 10, with single line spacing.
Publication Details
The submission is for Volume 4, Issue 2 of the DSNLU Journal of Science, Technology & Law, a peer-reviewed journal published by CIPR&T, DSNLU.
