About the Law Centre
Law Centre-II made a humble beginning in the year 1971 at the premises of ARSD College, Dhaula Kuan to offer a full-time LL.B. program. It has a glorious past of 55 years. The LL.B. classes were conducted in the evening, and the alumni of Law Centre-II includes top bureaucrats, police officers, military officers, teachers from different departments, chartered accountants, doctors, engineers, and other professionals.
About the Organiser
The Moot Court Society of Law Centre-II is dedicated to fostering practical legal skills through participation in national and international moot court, ADR, trial advocacy, judgment writing, debate, and quiz competitions.
In 2015, MCS launched its own national-level moot court competition, ‘Justified’, which became the S.K. Puri Memorial International Moot Court Competition in 2018 through a collaboration with the office of Mr. Sacchin Puri, Senior Advocate, in memory of his father, Late Shri Surinder Kumar (S.K.) Puri – a first-generation lawyer who rose to become a celebrated Senior Advocate of the Delhi High Court and served six terms as Honorary Secretary of the Delhi High Court Bar Association.
Event Details
The 10th edition of the S.K. Puri Memorial International Moot Court Competition, themed ‘JUSTIFIED 2026’, is a simulated trial moot set under the Rome Statute framework, on the theme: ‘Accountability of Judicial and Quasi-Judicial Institutions in Aiding the Commission of Crimes Prohibited under International Law’.
The competition has grown over nine prior editions (2018-2025), hosting teams from national and international law schools, with past chief guests including sitting and retired judges of the Delhi High Court.
Eligibility
- Open to all bona-fide students actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws (Five-Year Course & Three-Year Course) and Master’s Programme in Law.
- Team composition: Maximum 5 members per team- 2 Speakers, 2 Witnesses, and 1 Researcher (a team may also consist of just 2 Speakers and 2 Witnesses).
- Only one team is permitted per Law College/ University.
Mode & Location
The Competition will be conducted entirely in Offline Mode at the campus of Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi- 110007.

Fee
Registration fee is INR 3,500 without accommodation, or INR 7,000 with accommodation (non-refundable).
