Ana Navarro Accused of Violating Broadcast Rules by Urging Viewers to Vote for FL Democrat

Ana Navarro of ‘The View’ and ABC News are coming under fire for comments that Navarro made on the air, seemingly urging viewers to vote for a Democrat running for a House seat in Florida.

We all know the hosts of ‘The View’ are rooting for Democrats to win the midterms, but since the show airs on public airwaves, they’re not supposed to say it out loud.

FOX News reports:

ABC’s ‘The View’ co-host Ana Navarro urges viewers to vote for Dem in key Florida congressional race

ABC is facing blowback Monday after “The View” co-host Ana Navarro urged viewers to vote for a Democrat in a key Florida congressional race.

Navarro marveled at the tightening race between incumbent Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, R-Fla., and her Democratic opponent Eliott Rodriguez in the Sunshine State’s 27th district. Salazar recently made headlines for releasing an ad critical of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.

The host noted to viewers she lives in that district.

“I had taken for granted this race because she won two years ago by 20 points. And this is a district Donald Trump won by 15 points … but polls have her dead even,” Navarro said.

“So, anybody who lives in Coral Gables, in Miami, in Key Biscayne, in downtown Miami, pay attention to that race and go vote because it’s going to matter,” she continued. “And we can actually knock this woman out. There’s a great guy running. His name is Eliott Rodriguez. Give him a look!”

Critics have accused ABC of “electioneering” and questioned whether Navarro’s comments violate broadcast licensing rules.

“How is this not electioneering? She’s literally telling them who to vote for,” Daily Wire opinion editor Ben Domenech reacted on X.

Now would be a good time to remind everyone that this show is considered part of ABC News. Watch:
