Hasan Piker Mocks Assassination of Charlie Kirk in Vile Singalong as Crowd Roars

If possible, far-left Twitch streamer Hasan Piker managed to sink to a new low during a live performance of his “Fear&” podcast Friday night in San Francisco. The event was part of his ongoing “Fear& Live” tour.

Piker’s audience roared with laughter and applause as he sang a derisive rendition of “We Are Charlie Kirk,” a contemporary Christian-style anthem that appeared online a week after Kirk was assassinated last September. Although the song’s origins remain murky, some reports suggest it may have been AI-generated.

With the lyrics projected on a giant screen behind him, Piker, donning his signature Mao Zedong-style jacket, began singing: “He stood unshaken, a voice in the storm, a man of conviction, a heart reborn.” The crowd roared with delight.

He then began altering the lyrics for laughs. Piker drew some of his loudest applause after replacing the word “cost” with “world” in the line, belting out: “He spoke the truth, when the world was high.”

He whipped his audience into a frenzy when he dramatically drew out the word “die” in the next line: “He lived for Jesus, unafraid to die.”

And Piker was hardly alone in reveling in the spectacle; his fellow podcasters onstage appeared to find the mockery every bit as entertaining as the crowd did.

Piker had no regrets following his depraved performance, proudly posting a photo of himself and his colleagues with the caption, “carried the flame tn.” It was a derisive reference to the song’s refrain, “We carry the flame.”

Piker also reposted a response from one of his fans, which read, “The same conservatives crying over Hasan singing a meme song were openly celebrating the murder of American citizens. These people don’t care about anything.”

The backlash from conservatives intensified as video of Piker’s disturbing display ricocheted across the internet Saturday.

Appalled by Piker’s deliberate mockery of the man who had once been his close friend and mentor, Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet wrote, “Hasan Piker is engaging in pure, unadulterated evil. ‘Whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.’ Proverbs 17:5”

Conservative firebrand Jack Posobiec noted in the X post below, “Here is Hasan Piker now mocking the murder of Charlie Kirk as we approach the 1 year anniversary of his assassination. The Bolsheviks will kill us all and they will laugh about it.”

Responding to Posobiec, Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) wrote, “These aren’t just people who disagree with us politically. They are enemies of everything that is good and holy about our civilization. And they will stop at nothing to destroy it.

Friday night’s episode in San Francisco was merely Piker’s latest provocation. He has become the Howard Stern of politics, commanding attention through sheer audacity and an apparent willingness to say or do almost anything to shock, provoke, and keep his audience coming back for more.

It has been remarkable to watch Piker’s rapid rise to prominence within Democratic politics, particularly since New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s victory last November. Despite — or perhaps because of — increasingly inflammatory rhetoric, Piker has become nearly impossible to avoid. Barely a day passes without another of his anti-American or antisemitic tirades making headlines or dominating social media.

More striking still is the reception he has received from Democratic politicians. Once confined largely to the world of left-wing activism, Piker is increasingly moving in mainstream political circles, appearing alongside Democratic candidates who not only welcome his support but also proudly tout his endorsement. Rather than distancing themselves from one of the left’s most incendiary voices, a growing number of Democrats seem eager to bask in the enormous audience and political influence he brings with him.

And that may be the most troubling part of Piker’s ascent. His rhetoric is hardly a secret. Democratic politicians who seek out his endorsement, appear alongside him, and court his enormous audience know exactly who he is and what he represents.

This latest irreverent stunt offered yet another reminder. A prominent voice on the American left turned the assassination of a political opponent into entertainment, while hundreds of people laughed, cheered, and sang along.

Piker may have sunk to a new low, but the more consequential question is why so many Democrats continue to elevate him even as he shows them, again and again, exactly who he is.
