ILNU MUN Chapter VI | Institute of Law, Nirma University

The Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU) is set to host the sixth edition of its Model United Nations Conference — ILNU MUN Chapter VI — on 30th and 31st October and 1st November 2026. Organised by the ILNU MUN Committee, the conference brings together student delegates from across the country for three days of debate, negotiation, and diplomacy centred on the theme “We Create the Future.”

ILNU MUN is a flagship platform for youth leadership, diplomatic discourse, and global advocacy, run by the ILNU MUN Society as a collaborative effort between students and faculty. Over previous editions, it has drawn hundreds of participants and built collaborations with UN entities, earning local acclaim for the institution. Chapter VI marks a pivotal continuation of this legacy, bringing an elevated slate of committee agendas and an inspiring environment for prospective leaders to challenge prevailing perspectives on the floor.

United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)

Deliberating upon political interference in humanitarian and disaster governance, with special reference to the Yemen crisis and resilience building in conflict-affected regions.

Bureaucratic Cell

Formulating a national refugee and asylum framework: administrative, enforcement, and diplomatic responses to India’s undocumented refugee population in the absence of domestic refugee law.

Lok Sabha

Deliberation on comprehensive electoral reforms in India, with special emphasis on the implementation of One Nation, One Election and ensuring a robust federal architecture.

Indian Constituent Assembly (ICA)

Determining the federal structure of the Indian Union, the official language of the State, and reconciling national unity with provincial and linguistic autonomy.

UNGA — Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC)

Addressing the proliferation, regulation, and accountability deficit of Private Military and Security Companies (PMSCs) in contemporary armed conflict, with special reference to their role in Sub-Saharan Africa and post-Soviet conflict zones.

Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW)

Addressing the weaponisation of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) by non-state armed groups, with special emphasis on territorial subjugation and illicit resource extraction in active conflict zones.

BRICS

Deliberating the New Delhi Declaration 2026: advancing de-dollarisation, local-currency payment mechanisms, and BRICS resilience against U.S. tariff coercion.

International Press (IP)

Responsible for coverage and reportage of committee proceedings through the course of the conference.

Registration and Delegate Fees

Delegation fees are charged in phases. Accommodation, where opted for, costs an additional ₹2,700. Prices include GST, and delegates must bear their own travel costs.

  • Early Bird (22nd—30th September 2026): ₹1,600

  • Phase 1 (1st—15th October 2026): ₹1,800

  • Phase 2 (16th—25th October 2026): ₹2,200
