About Bentham Legal
Bentham Legal is a legal-tech startup incubated and funded by the Indian School of Business (ISB). It assists early-stage Indian founders with company incorporation, trademark registration, annual compliance, GST filings, contract drafting, and private placement and fundraising documents.
Bentham Legal is the official legal partner for BITS Pilani, SRM University, WeHub, and eight other reputed institutions.
About the Internship
Bentham Legal is inviting applications for the position of Legal Associate Intern.
Responsibilities
- Trademarks: Conduct trademark searches; draft and file trademark applications and user affidavits; respond to examination reports; and keep clients updated throughout the registration process.
- Company Formation: Manage the incorporation of private limited companies and LLPs, including SPICe+ and MCA portal filings.
- Use Bentham Legal’s internal tooling to streamline incorporation and compliance work.
- Draft Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association, and LLP agreements.
- Coordinate with in-house Company Secretary and Chartered Accountant partners.
- Across the Team: Draft and review contracts, MOUs, shareholder agreements, and other legal documents for founders.
- Contribute to legal content.
Eligibility
- Law students in their fourth or fifth year, or recent graduates, may apply.
- Prior internship experience in at least one of the following areas: intellectual property, corporate law, private placement, or overseas direct investment (ODI).
- Clear written communication and strong attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup and taking ownership of client-facing work.
- Applicants pursuing Company Secretary, Chartered Accountancy, or Cost Management Accountancy qualifications will have an added advantage.
Duration
The duration of the internship is three months.
Mode and Location
The internship is in-person at Bentham Legal’s office at ISB, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana – 500111. Interns are required to work from the office for a minimum of two days a week.
Work timings are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Stipend and Post-Internship Opportunity
- Stipend of ₹10,000 per month.
- Strong performers may receive a pre-placement offer for a full-time Associate role after the internship.
- The full-time Associate role carries a CTC of ₹7–9 lakh per annum.
