Position

Legal Intern – Litigation & Legal Practice

• Number of Positions: 10
• Internship Cycle: 2026–2027

Eligibility

• Students pursuing a 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programme.
• Candidates with a genuine interest in litigation and practical legal practice.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills will be preferred.
• Candidates must be hardworking, sincere, disciplined and willing to take responsibility for assigned work.
• Candidates who are serious about building a long-term career in legal practice are encouraged to apply.

Areas of Work

Selected interns will receive practical exposure to matters relating to:

• Civil Litigation
• Criminal Litigation
• Corporate & Commercial Matters
• Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
• Legal research and case-law analysis
• Drafting of pleadings, applications, notices, replies and other legal documents
• Case preparation and hearing briefs
• Court proceedings and litigation strategy

Interns may get an opportunity to work on matters before both the Delhi High Court and District Courts, depending upon the requirements of ongoing matters.

Key Responsibilities

The selected interns will assist the legal team with:

• Conducting detailed legal research and identifying relevant precedents;
• Preparing case briefs, research notes and hearing notes;
• Drafting and assisting in drafting pleadings and other legal documents;
• Preparing matters for hearings;
• Assisting Advocates with court-related work;
• Reviewing legal documents and case records;
• Assisting in civil, criminal, corporate, commercial and IPR matters; and
• Undertaking other legal assignments entrusted by the supervising Advocates.

Working Hours

10:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Duration

The internship will be for a minimum period of 3 months, and may be extended up to 6 months, depending upon the intern’s performance and the requirements of the firm.

Stipend & Performance Bonus

Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000

In addition to the monthly stipend, an intern who demonstrates exceptional performance, quality of work, strong legal research, commitment and diligence may be awarded a performance-based bonus of ₹5,000, at the discretion of the firm.

Opportunity to Join as Junior Associate

Interns who demonstrate excellent performance, strong legal research and drafting abilities, dedication and professional aptitude may be considered for an opportunity to join GDC Legal Consultants LLP as a Junior Associate after enrolment with the Bar Council, subject to the firm’s selection process and requirements.

This opportunity is particularly intended for candidates who wish to develop a long-term career in litigation and legal practice.

Depending upon the nature of the assignment, interns may be required to work from either office and attend court proceedings.
