About the Organisation
Hikmat Helping Hands Foundation (HHHF) is a Section 8, not-for-profit grassroots NGO committed to empowering marginalised communities across India through a holistic approach that includes legal aid, social awareness, education, and poverty alleviation initiatives.
Through pro bono legal clinics and rights-awareness workshops, HHHF helps vulnerable communities understand and assert their fundamental rights. Their social campaigns focus on gender equity, child rights, environmental justice, and public health, conducted through online platforms and local outreach.
They collaborate with schools and community centres for digital literacy programmes and remedial tutoring, organise micro-enterprise training and financial literacy sessions, and conduct relief distributions during crises. Youth engagement is central to their mission, mentoring students to lead and manage community projects.
About the Opportunity
HHHF offers a 21-day online internship focusing on social justice, legal aid, human rights and public policy. Interns will engage in activities that promote awareness and empowerment of marginalised groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft policy briefs on legal issues affecting marginalised groups
- Plan and execute virtual awareness campaigns
- Organise 2–3 outreach visits locally to spread awareness of fundamental rights
- Undertake other related assignments as required
- Receive Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation
- Opportunity for a sponsored trip based on availability and satisfactory performance
