New York Governor Kathy Hochul recently appeared at the Islamic Cultural Center School in the Bronx and wore a hijab for the occasion. We’re ten days away from the 25th anniversary of the events of 9/11, and the Democratic governor of New York is appearing in public in a Muslim head covering.
This is nothing more than pandering, and it’s an utter disgrace.
Note the way that Mediaite chose to frame the story. All of the emphasis is on the reaction from the right:

A grip of pro-Trump social media users, Spencer Pratt, and one notable Republican lawmaker went off on New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) for wearing a hijab at a recent event hosted by a Muslim organization, with many saying a brief video of her speech proved the self-proclaimed feminist was nothing but a hypocrite.
The clip of Hochul donning a black hijab went viral on X on Sunday, two days after she spoke at the Islamic Cultural Center School in the Bronx. The “End Wokeness” X account shared it and racked up more than 4 million views by Sunday afternoon with the clip, which you can see below:

Kyle Becker of RedState made a great point about this:
The Democrat Party has gone out of its way to virtue-signal on behalf of Islamists. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Minnesota Lt. Gov. Penny Flanagan have all embraced the head covering.
If there is anything that the modern left supports, it’s political power.
And as radical Democrats embrace Islamist politicians like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, we have to ask ourselves if there is any principle they won’t sell out in order to get it.
