Research Internship Opportunity at HUMAN.DROITS [Remote]

About the Opportunity

HUMAN.DROITS is inviting applications from motivated law students to join an upcoming research project examining the intersectionality and violence against women in South Asia and its relationship with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).

Internship Details

• Project: Intersectionality & Sexual Violence in South Asia — Exploring Overlaps with CEDAW
• Tentative Start Date: 15 September 2026
• Duration: 1 month
• Time Commitment: Approximately 9-10 hours per week (part-time)
• Mode: Remote
• Position: Voluntary / Unpaid

Eligibility

They are looking for law students who:

• Have a genuine interest in women’s rights, gender justice and violence against women (VAW)
• Possess basic legal research and writing skills
• Are comfortable working with legal and academic sources
• Can conduct structured online/desk research and accurately record sources
• Have an interest in CEDAW and international human rights law
• Are able to meet agreed deadlines and work independently
• Are willing to receive feedback and revise their research/writing accordingly

Prior experience in research or human rights work is welcome but not mandatory.

What will you gain?

• Certificate of Internship upon successful completion
• Selected interns who demonstrate strong research and writing skills may have the opportunity to continue working with the HUMAN.DROITS team on the development of the project’s research report in the following months
