Sullivan & Cromwell has hired a partner from Latham & Watkins to open an office in Abu Dhabi, establishing an on-the-ground presence in the Middle East for the first time.
The firm has hired M&A partner Ahmed T. el-Gaili to lead the new office. He joins from Latham, where he was regional chair of the Middle East corporate department.
