The Centre for Research on Human Rights (CRHR), Unitedworld School of Law, Karnavati University, in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), is organising a one-day training programme on child rights.
About the Training Programme
Surakshit Bachpan: From Awareness to Action – A Practical Training on Child Rights & Protection Mechanisms is a focused and practical sensitisation programme designed to strengthen awareness, understanding and institutional responses towards child rights and child protection.
The programme will adopt an interactive and practice-oriented approach through short films, real-life situations, case discussions, interactive activities and experience-sharing.
Programme Highlights
The training will focus on the following areas of child protection:

Classroom Bullying: Recognising bullying, responding as students and bystanders, and enabling effective intervention by teachers and school authorities.

Cyberbullying: Understanding online harassment and related risks, digital safety, preservation of relevant evidence and available mechanisms for seeking assistance.

POCSO and Child Protection: Responding sensitively when a child discloses abuse or requires protection, including the role of teachers, schools and responsible adults.

Healing Through Safety: Trauma-Informed Care and Protection for Children: Understanding the impact of trauma on children and creating safe, supportive, child-sensitive environments that promote healing, trust and protection.
Eligibility
The programme is open to school students, teachers, principals, education officers, NGO representatives and other interested participants.
Mode and Venue
The programme will be conducted in person at Unitedworld School of Law, Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Certificates
Certificates will be provided to all participants.
