United Kingdom Prime Minister Andy Burnham told the BBC that the government believes Iran had a part in whatever plan the five men wanted to execute at the RAF Fairford air base.
“There are strong indications that Iran played a part in what happened over the weekend at RAF Fairford,” the prime minister said.

The U.S. uses the base to carry out strikes on Iran, which is one reason why the police have been investigating whether Iran had a hand in the alleged plot.
Weird.
If the government believes Iran had something to do with the plot, then why did the police release the five suspects on bail?!
“I think people need to understand that when it says released – that isn’t as people might think,” stressed Burnham. “It’s obviously with the strictest possible bail conditions. The authorities have this under the strongest grip and closest control, and I can assure you of that.”
These five suspects received bail.
A man accused of criminal damage for allegedly slashing at a boat used by illegal aliens did not receive bail.
“We will say more in due course, but we can confirm our belief that we believe Iran to have played a part,” Burnham continued. “Of course it remains an ongoing, complex and serious police investigation, and of course we are working closely with our colleagues in the United States of America.”
