With Weil currently facing more than 30 exits worldwide since January, the news that City M&A duo David Avery-Gee and Sarah Flaherty are moving to Sullivan & Cromwell is not purely a London story.
But with secondaries partner Charles Cooper-Isow preparing to follow Simon Saitowitz to Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, departures from the firm’s City base are mounting, making London a story in its own right — albeit one that predates the current flurry of exits that began in New York.
